Artists tell me that they think of nothing but art. Only this purity of focus allows the practitioner into the inner sanctum where the Muse is ever present. Welllll........ How about a break for lunch? Even the most dedicated has to take sustenance. Here you do nothing towards your meals but appear. Afterward the dishes disappear. Now I have been an art student in Italy and certainly there were culinary high points. But here at the Kona Village there is a consistency of excellence that I doubt is matched in any other week long art event open to the general art student. Look at the awards the Village has received. Awards.

No TV, Radio, or cell phones, so meals become a social center. Meet up with classmates, other artists (when more than one class is running), or the very loyal guests from the world over. We are posting an interview with Mark the Chef - look for it. Remember: two (different) luaus, great BarBQ, Sunday brunch, buffet lunch every day, wonderful sunset dinners with sophisticated entertainment. AND a fitness center and the ocean to work it all off. Explore the Kona Village web site, it is an almost magical place. Keep to mind, however, we are working toward a different goal than vacationers. Here we can achieve an intensity of learning not to be otherwise matched. At which point a quick bite (or two) is deserved.
