Modeling for a class at the Kona Village

Initially, at least, Hawaiian Art Journey is concentrating on the easel arts. Drawing, watercolor, pastel, oil and acrylic and perhaps small scale sculpture. My own training (Universita' Italiana Per Stranieri, Instatute del Arte) has led me to value drawing as a basis for the visual arts. The most challenging drawing is from the figure.

Therefore, along with meals and sunsets there will be drawing groups open to all. To these groups I will bring the best models I can find. All ages, races, sizes but with a common dedication to advancing art. If you are not already strongly committed to figure drawing I strongly recommend Peter Steinhart's The Undressed Art: why we draw. Not a "how to" but rather a "why to".
